A Local Furniture Store

Furniture Store · Edmonton, AB
The Problem

Spending $3,500/month on Google ads — every single ad was text only. No photos. No product names visible. No prices. Customers searching for a dining table couldn't see a single piece of furniture. 60% of their budget was going to irrelevant clicks — people searching for "pine trees" and "oak wood" were triggering furniture ads.

What We Did

Shut off the wasteful text ads. Switched the entire account to Google Shopping — ads that show a photo of the actual product, the price, and the store name right in Google results. Added "negative keywords" so the ads stopped showing for searches with nothing to do with furniture.

I was spending $3,500 a month and had no idea what it was buying me. Now I can open one page and see exactly what we spent, how many people came in, and what it cost per customer.

A Local Mattress Retailer

Mattress Store · Edmonton, AB
The Problem

Google Maps said they were closed Saturday — their busiest day. The phone number was disconnected. Zero photos of the store. An unresponded review warned customers about wrong hours. This had been happening for over a year. Every customer who found them on Google on a Saturday was being turned away before ever calling.

What We Did

Fixed the listing in one week: correct hours, right phone number, 14 photos of the showroom and products, responses to all existing reviews, and a system that automatically sends every happy customer a link to leave a Google review after their purchase.

We were losing customers and didn't even know why. Turns out our Google page was sending people away. It took less than a week to fix something that had been costing us customers for over a year.

A Local Auto Parts Store

Auto Parts Store · Edmonton, AB
The Problem

Paying $1,500/month for "SEO and ads" from a company that sent a 12-page monthly PDF full of graphs — organic impressions, bounce rate, domain authority — that didn't connect to a single real customer. After 8 months and $12,000 spent, the owner couldn't name one sale that came from it.

What We Did

Audited the account. Found the marketing company had done almost nothing — 1 ad setup, 2 blog posts, 3 directory submissions — in 8 months. Helped the owner exit the contract. Rebuilt Google Shopping for their top 200 products at $700/month. Built a one-page Monday morning tracker.

I spent $12,000 on reports I couldn't read. Now I spend $700 a month and I know exactly what I'm paying for, line by line. I wish I'd done this two years ago.

A Local Generator & Parts Supplier

Generator & Parts · Edmonton, AB
The Problem

Over 1,200 products in-store — generators, parts, accessories, transfer switches from 12 brands. On Google, advertising exactly 5 generic terms: "generator Edmonton," "buy generator," "generator sale," "generator store," "generator near me." The other 1,195 products were completely invisible. If someone searched for a specific Generac part number, this store didn't exist in their results.

What We Did

Mapped the entire catalogue brand by brand and category by category. Built a Google Shopping setup making every product individually searchable. Built dedicated landing pages for their top 8 brand relationships. A customer searching any specific part number now finds this store at the top of results.

We had a thousand products that nobody could find online. Now they're all showing up. We've been in business 11 years and this is the first time I feel like the internet is actually working for us.

A Local Auto Accessories Store

Auto Accessories · Edmonton, AB
The Problem

The owner's cousin was running Facebook ads — $800/month boosting posts to "Everyone in Edmonton, age 18–65." That's 350,000 people, most of whom would never buy a car accessory. The posts being boosted were random — product photos, staff photos, motivational quotes. In 18 months, they couldn't attribute a single verified sale to a Facebook ad.

What We Did

Rebuilt the entire Facebook Ads account. Set up retargeting — ads that only show to people who'd visited their website in the last 30 days (warm leads, not cold strangers). Added a second audience: Edmonton people who'd recently visited auto dealerships or parts stores based on Facebook's activity data. Same $800 budget. Completely different targeting.

We were spending $800/month showing ads to people who don't even own cars. A simple fix got us in front of the right people — without spending a dollar more.

A Local Flooring Retailer

Flooring Store · Edmonton, AB
The Problem

Good walk-in traffic. Good website visitors. But call-to-showroom conversion was around 20%. When someone called asking for a flooring quote, staff would give a price range and say "feel free to come in." That was the whole call. No appointment booked. No follow-up. No attempt to get them in. Half of all phone leads were going cold every week.

What We Did

Listened to recordings of recent phone calls (with permission). Identified exactly where conversations went flat. Built a simple phone script for flooring inquiries: how to understand what the customer actually needs, how to make the showroom sound worth visiting, how to book an appointment on the call, and how to follow up when they say "I'll call back." Added a lead sheet so every inquiry was logged with a follow-up date.

Half dayTraining investment

I was spending thousands on advertising to get the phone to ring. The problem wasn't the ads. It was what we were doing when the phone rang. Half a day of training fixed something I didn't even know was broken.
